Working remotely can make some team members feel isolated. Build community and focus on 
relationships to eliminate feelings of isolation – make sure your team members know they can count on each other. In traditional teams, bonds are formed by simply interacting daily, such as saying hello in the hallway.

An informal chat is inevitable in a face-to-face environment, whereas virtual co-workers need to 
take deliberate actions for an informal chat. In this workshop, we will discuss tips and ideas for 
building community in your teams! This is especially important in the beginning, when the group is 
forming. After the initial connection has been made, team members begin to gain confidence in each other and their leader.
