Economic Vitality Council Meeting
Forward Focus
Tuesday, July 17, 2018 @ 4:00 p.m. at the Chamber offices -- Reception follows
It’s time to for our July’s Economic Vitality Council! This meeting will take the place of our normal monthly meeting. We will have the chance to discuss the five key strategic areas of emphasis for the next fiscal year.
We need your help to align the work of our Business & Workforce Development and International Development committees with these strategic areas so we can optimize our resources and outcomes. This is your opportunity to weigh in and shape our work moving forward.
Some of the challenges we will examine include:
- How do we increase Cybersecurity awareness in the workplace and education?
- What are the best strategies we can employ to attract small and medium sized businesses to engage with the Chamber and the best ways to serve their specific needs?
- What must we do to retain the talent being generated by our colleges and universities in Irvine/OC?
- How can we enhance the relationship between Orange County’s non-profits and the local business community?
The Economic Vitality Council meets twice a year to share committee and task force work with Chamber membership and the community. EVC committees meet monthly to review and discuss progress reports and recommendations.
