Networking 101 Workshop - SOLD OUT
SOLD OUT
"Pivot Your Pitch – A Journey to a More Impactful Self-Introduction”
As a member of the chamber we are all faced with self-introductions at networking groups, committees, seminars, events and social gatherings. While many of us prepare for formal and informal business presentations, we tend to overlook and under prepare for the most valuable tool of all – “A Beneficial Self Introduction.”
Just as a well prepared introduction will set a tone, identify a theme, and engage a reader, so too can your self- introduction or elevator pitch captivate a listener in a professional or social setting. The purpose of both is to create interest for the listener and begin a dialogue. Similar to an introductory paragraph in print, your elevator pitch — or 15-30 second sound bite can set you apart from your competition; showcase your uniqueness and wet a listener’s appetite to want to get to know you better.
In this workshop you will learn:
1. How to prepare and craft a mutually beneficial self-introduction.
2. The do’s and don’ts in a self-introduction.
3. Tips and techniques from experienced networkers and professionals.
The workshop will be lead by Virginia Lorimor founder of The WIN Companies. Ms. Lorimor graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California, USC. She earned her CPA from Price Waterhouse Coopers and has over 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, business turnarounds, business growth and C-level management. She worked in Fortune 100 companies including Disney, Lennar Homes, KB Homes and others. Over the past 9 years she has launched five successful enterprises
