Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of Assi Natural Market
Assi Natural Market opens its doors at Woodbridge Village Center on Thursday, March 28, and the community is invited to its grand opening celebration.
A ribbon-cutting with Mayor Steven Choi will be held at 9 a.m. with live entertainment and plenty of fabulous product giveaways. Additionally, shoppers are invited to come enjoy a “Taste of Assi” to sample food and products from more than 30 vendors for the entire grand opening month. Look for tasty samples of shumai dumplings, donburi rice bowls, miso soup, tofu and chips, to name a few.
Hailed by the Los Angeles Times and Orange County Register as “the Whole Foods of Ethnic Supermarkets,” the 35,000-square-foot store features a gleaming and immaculate space with reclaimed wood, brushed stainless steel, subway tiles, polished concrete floors and a state-of-the-art ventilation system.
Shoppers in Irvine’s diverse community will be able to find an array of Asian and American products, including: organic produce, organic meats (including Kobe-certified and Wagyu beef, Kurobuta pork and free-range Jidori chicken), seafood and boutique wines. Food-lovers and avid home-cooks can also look forward to 40 different kinds of housemade kimchi, 18 kinds of in-house marinated meats, a shabu-shabu section with meats sliced-to-order and even ready-to-cook hotpot packages with ingredients for the perfect at-home shabu-shabu meal.
Assi Natural Market also features a bakery with a food court and prepared goods such as made-to-order sushi, kimbap and even Italian and American fare, perfect for those wanting to grab lunch on-the-go.
