SCORE is a national organization funded by Congress and affiliated with the Small Business Association. We have chapters throughout the United States, with SCORE 114, the Orange County Chapter being the largest Chapter in the United States with 105 members. The mission of SCORE is to help small business grow. We work with small business from start up to about $10 million in annual revenue. The membership is all volunteer. The majority of the membership is retired or semi-retired business people who volunteer their time and expertise to help keep the American dream alive of owning and operating your own business. The memberaship has deep experience in all aspects of business, from start up, financial, operations, human resources, marketing, sales, attorneys and accountants, patents and trademarks, intellectual properties, foreign operations. The services we offer are one to one face to face counseling, on-line counseling, seminars on all aspects of business, a CEO forum for existing businesses, women in business monthly forum and Advisory board teams formed to help existing businesses meet their challenges. My background is as follows:
Over 40 years of experience in the marketing and advertising businesses. I have been the Chief Marketing Officer of Fortune 500 companies, I have worked for both mid-sized and large advertising agencies and I have owned and operated my own advertising agency for 12 years. My areas of expertise are foodservice, hospitality, soft beverage, franchise organizations and entertainment. I have also done consulting for a number of years in the mentioned categories. I am easy going, straigt forward and very results driven.
My office hours are as follows:
I counsel at the Irvine Chamber of Commerce on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 9:00AM till 1PM. The counselling sessions are one hour each, or four sessions availible. my August counsel dates are:
